When the railway bought the Simplex Motor Rail No.9869 it was felt that once it was rebuilt that it should have a suitable industrial train to haul.
A search was instigated for some skip wagons and eventually in early 2011 we located a supply and now have three 'V' shaped skip wagons in need of some restoration work.

All three skips have been repaired, chassis refurbished and axle boxes rebuilt, they have all been painted grey and randomly numbered 2, 6 & 13.
It is believed that these wagons were built by a firm called Jones possibly of Woolwich, London.
It also appears that they were originally built for 18 inch gauge and at an early stage in their history they were converted to 2ft gauge.
